19 Built-in Stitches
This base of sewing stitches is everything a beginner needs for basic sewing. Piece quilts, construct garments, and add decorative topstitching with the 19 built-in stitches. Add buttonholes to pants, shirts, jackets, and more with the four-step buttonhole feature.
Quick-Set, Drop-in Bobbin
Most basic sewing machines feature a front-loading bobbin, which can be tricky to install. The Baby Lock Joy features a quick-set drop-in bobbin. After winding the bobbin, simply drop it in, run the thread through the groove, and the Joy will do the rest.
Drop Feed Capable
For free motion sewing, freehand embroidery, and button sewing, use the drop feed feature. By dropping the feed dogs, you are in control of the fabric's direction while sewing.
Free Arm Sewing
Access the free arm by removing the auxiliary sewing bed. This narrow arm is the perfect size to fit sleeves and pant legs over for hemming. This handy feature is essential for hemming cylindrical textiles.
Thread Cutter
A thread trimmer is conveniently located on the left side of the machine. After sewing, pull the threads through the trimmer, and you are done.

I love the Baby Loc machine and am surprised it is not very well known. I have sewed for 60 years and never saw this machine advertised, until I did some research as I was buying a machine for my daughter in law. I purchased one for her, and loved it. This summer I broke my singer machine and decided to buy a new one. Of course I went right for the Baby Loc! I also love it because it doesn�t have all the bells and whistles, it�s small and perfect for my needs now!!! Thank you so much the delivery was sooner then I expected!!!

I love this machine. I am just now learning how to sew, and it is so simple and easy to do. It provides everything you need to start out, plus some! Not to mention that it seems to be very durable and has great weight. It's light enough to move around, but heavy enough to support some bigger fabric pieces.
